Malek Library and Old Periodicals
According to the public relations office of Malek National Library and Museum, the institute's library possesses the oldest copies of periodicals published in the country.
The press section of Malek National Library is now keeping copies of 731 periodicals, some of which are among the oldest periodicals published in the country. There are, for instance, periodicals published in the country and abroad during the Nasseri period. Some of the periodicals are titled: Current Happenings (1847), The Iranian Government ( 1857 ), Iranian Government Scientific Periodical (1860 ), The Official Paper (1863), Culture (Isfahan, 1876) , Information (1878), The Royal Camp (1880) and Honor (1880) which were published inside the country.
The best-known periodical published during the Nasseri period outside the country was Akhtar (1872).
Copies of the periodicals can be browsed by interested visitor and scholars at Malek National Library in Imam Khomeini Street in Tehran.
