Malek National Museum

For over 70 years the name of Haj Hossein Agha Malek has been associated with artistic donation, making it a familiar name among the Iranian lovers of art and culture.
In 1964 he conceived the idea of collecting other precious antiques, especially old coins, for the use of scholars alongside of the library, and gradually he collected large numbers of coins, stamps, carpets, paintings, and parchments with the assistance of experts. The entire collection is now being kept in Malek National Museum.
Among the documents kept in the museum is the marriage certificate of Amir Kabir with Ezzatollah, sister of Nassereddin Shah, dated 1834, and also Nassereddin Shah's decree, conferring the title of Malekoltojjar on Haj Mohammad Kazem, dated 1856.
